Liberal Arts High Brings Higher Education to High School Classrooms

Standing in front of 28 high school students in Mrs. Call’s 11A English class at Pocatello High School, Student Teacher and Idaho State student Shelby Killian introduced her college professor and mentor Dr. Marie Stango to the class.  Stango spoke to the class as part of Idaho State University’s Liberal Art High program, adding a colorful historical lesson to the class unit on The Crucible.

For the third year in a row, the Prepare to Roar campaign saw the generosity of Bengal supporters shine en route to record setting results. Thanks to the generosity of more than 465 donors, the Department of Athletics surpassed its target goal of $500,000 during the annual fall fundraising campaign with the total amount surging past $630,000.

Idaho State University and the POW*MIA Awareness Association will honor American prisoners of war and missing-in-action service members with the first Missing Man Chair on a college campus in Idaho. The University’s Missing Man Chair is located on the newly renovated north side of Holt Arena.

To submit a campus update or story for Idaho State Today, fill out the online form by Friday at noon for Monday's edition, and Wednesday at noon for Thursday's edition. A separate newsletter called ROAR Weekly is sent to students on Wednesdays.
