Greetings!

Last week, Kevin Weir of Action Coach told me that it takes up to seven "touches" with a prospect to make them into a client. This number astounded me! I have to confess that I expect to convert a prospect into a customer much faster than that. However, he clarified that part of that process is education.

He said if you spend time educating people about what it is you do, then part of those touches are informational/educational.

As the Spokane Chapter President of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), I feel that it is important for us to educate both members and prospects about the organization.

I think that PRSA is a fantastic national organization, with amazing programming, networking, and learning opportunities. But the only way for others to know that is by way of sharing and educating. This month, I am holding two sessions for people with questions about PRSA to come and ask.

This work of educating regarding PRSA is no different than what people would do in their business. Whether you run your own company, or work for someone else, we all end up selling the ideas, services or products of the company to others. If we start with the WHY and help educate others about the value of what the company does, we will be ahead of the game.

Educating is a big part of communicating. Let me help you to better communicate your messages so that you can begin to educate, and then see outcomes in your business.

Yours in clarity,
