Fall Retreat

Hey everybody,

Fall Retreat is upon us. We are very excited about what we have planned this year. The theme is "Rise Up", focusing on our calling to lead. The them verse is 1 Timothy 4:12. Michael Schwandt and I will do the teaching for the weekend along with Mayo Delano doing the music.

On the day of we will meet at Grace at 5:30 PM to load up the cars then head out about 6 PM. Please make sure that your youth eat beforehand. Then on Sunday we will return midway through the service and you can pick up your kids afterwards.

DWGC Fall Youth Retreat

Dates November 17-19

Location Camp Lonestar, La Grange, Texas

The Cost is $90 per person

Our final Registration date October 29, 2017, both paperwork and payment must be turn in by the 29th. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

I am still looking for one more adult to go on the trip with us. Please let me know if you are able to.

Confirmation

Confirmation is an ancient ceremony in which the bishop lays hands on someone and invites the Holy Spirit to fill them.

For participants, confirmation is a mature, public affirmation of faith. It is for those baptized as infants who now wish to confirm they believe. Most often these are teens. Adults who would like to reaffirm their faith are also invited to participate in the confirmation service

Classes will start up this Sunday, October 15th at 9 am. The service of Confirmation will be led by Bishop Clark Lowenfield on December 10.

November 5, 9 am in the Conference Room

November 12, 9 am in the Conference Room

December 10, Meet at 9 am in the Conference Room to meet with the Bishop and take pictures. Confirmation will be at the 10:30 service.
