2017-2018 New Sunday School Classes
We have made some revisions to our Sunday School classes, due to the ages of youth we have in Sunday School. This year we will have a pre K -K class, grades1-5, a Jr high class grades 6-8 and a high school class
grades 9-12. Please come check out our classes and bring a friend.
Sunday School Teachers Needed
We are still looking for a few people who would be willing to teach Sunday School on a rotating basis. We need 1 teacher for our pre K-K class. 1 teacher for our grades 1-5 class. If we can get anoth
er teacher for that class you would just teach every 3rd month. We also need one teacher for our Jr high and 1 for our high school class, this would be an every other month rotation. If would be willing to
be a teacher please see Amy Russell or Tari Seeger.
New Confirmation Class
Information Meeting SEP 17 at noon
A new confirmation class will begin this fall. An information meeting will be held on SEP 17 at noon for all 7th and 8th graders and older youth who have not been confirmed and their parents in the Library.
Confirmation is when youth explore their faith and the basic beliefs of the church then decide to affirm their baptismal vows and formally become members of the church. We look forward to a year of learning and fun activities.
For more information, please see Pastor TJ or Amy.
Burnett Creek Elementary is starting a "Maker Space"-- a place for kids to stretch their mental and creative muscles a bit more. I am looking for small appliances and toys that no longer work to serve as "take apart" projects where kids can use real tools and explore inner workings. Example items: clocks, radios, calculators, keyboards--anything with screws! Call Amy Lawson for pick up at 765-491-5425 or drop off at the church. Thank you!

Game Plan
Football pre-season is here and the regular season will be starting soon. Do you have a favorite team? A favorite coach? We all watch with great sense of expectancy and hope at the start of a new season as we watch our team take the field. Every player and sports fan knows that the team needs a game plan in order to do well. And every player knows that they need to follow the coach's game plan in order to do well and succeed. Our lives need a game plan, too. And the best game plan comes from God who has a plan and purpose for our lives. It is a plan and purpose we can trust because God loves us and cares about us and, come what may, God will see us through. Hear these words of hope and comfort from Jeremiah:
(verse of the week)
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all of your heart. I will be found by you" (Jeremiah 29.11-13)
(prayer of the week)
Lord, thank you that you have a plan and a purpose for my life. Thank you that your plans have a hope and a blessed future for me. Help me to follow your guidance and give me strength and courage to follow your plan and purpose in all of life, through your power and to your glory, amen.
Have a blessed week!
--Pastor TJ

O God, my Father, don't let me die without having really lived and really loved
