MAKING WAVES FOR CANCER RESEARCH

The 2015 Swim Across America Greenwich-Stamford Swim raised more than $350,000 for cell and gene therapy research. On Saturday, June 27th, 2015, more than 250 swimmers, countless boaters, sponsors and volunteers showed their enthusiastic support for ACGT-funded breakthrough cancer research. In its 9th year supporting ACGT, swimmers and volunteers from ages six to 82 participated. Read more about Swim Across America and the research funded by the proceeds of the event. 
 
LEGISLATION COULD MEAN MORE PRECISE CANCER CARE
 
The Precision Medicine Initiative, part of the 21st Century Cures Act [HR 6] holds the promise for more government funding of molecular-based research. This Bill will be moving into the Senate for confirmation in the Fall.

WENDY WALK/ACGT SARCOMA CLINICAL RESEARCH GRANT
 
ACGT is accepting applications for the 2015 Investigator's Award in Clinical Translation of Cell and Gene Therapy for Sarcoma. Abstracts are due  October 26, 2015.  The Wendy Walk/ACGT Sarcoma Research Grant is specifically for those conducting cell and gene therapy research for sarcoma.  View the full program guidelines.
