Impact 100 Announces FOUR
2016 Grant Recipients
At a packed reception of almost 400 members and guests at the Schiff Conference & Banquet Center, Impact 100 announced the FOUR 2016 Grant Recipients.  Each organization received a $101,500 grant to fund a significant, transformative project.  2016 marks the second year Impact 100 has had membership sufficient to fund four grants. This brings the Impact 100 investment in the tri-state regional community to $3.6 Million since its inception.

The four Grant Recipients and their projects are:

CINCINNATI THERAPEUTIC RIDING & HORSEMANSHIP : Project Mustang
This project will expand the program to save wild mustangs, but more importantly, to serve 300 veterans annually suffering from PTSD as part of a proven alternative treatment where the veterans train mustangs for traditional equine therapy roles.

GREATER CINCINNATI CONSTRUCTION FOUNDATION:  Constructing a Pathway Out of Poverty Program
Expand the Woodward Career Technical High School program by developing & implementing a practical, application-based math program in the middle schools to increase eligible placement of students into the high school program which prepares them to enter the construction trade.

ST. FRANCIS SERAPH MINISTRIES & CENTER FOR RESPITE CARE:  The Dinner Club & Kitchenette Project
Purchase the required commercial stove hood as part of the new St. Anthony Center Dinner Club to provide the homeless breakfast and dinner 5 days per week. Additionally, fund a new kitchenette for the in-house respite care unit which provides post-hospitalization care & services for the homeless.

WOMEN'S CRISIS CENTER : Expand Green Dot Violence Prevention Program
Expand the Green Dot program to 3 additional high schools in Northern Kentucky based on the success locally in changing behaviors, attitudes & responses to witnessed acts of violence and the successes documented by the University of Kentucky program originators.

The three other finalists were:

CENTER FOR GREAT NEIGHBORHOODS: The Creative Commons Project

CHATFIELD COLLEGE: Central & Liberty Green Space Project

NORTHERN KENTUCKY COMMUNITY ACTION COMMISSION :  Lincoln Grant Scholar House.

Through the generosity of our donors: sponsors, members and community partners alike, each of the other nonprofit finalists received a check for $1000  to support the purchase of items on their Wish List.

Impact 100 congratulates the new Grant Recipients - and looks forward to seeing the huge IMPACT they will have on our community. The organization thanks all the applicants who proposed and presented creative, transformative projects for our community.
