So much is happening on the campuses and in the lives of our students this year, it would take up more space than I have here to share. Briefly; Our campus groups continue to meet and grow weekly at IUSB on Thursday afternoons from 1 - 3 pm, and at Bethel College at 9 pm. Two months ago student that we are mentoring in ministry began a Bible Study at Holy Cross College, that is currently meeting on Tuesday afternoons at 5pm.
Our students continue to make prayer a priority on their campus and many participated in the Collegiate Day of Prayer on February 24th. Students are beginning to meet with one another for accountability and prayer. God is forming a bond among these students that is beautiful.
It's hard to believe that this school year will be complete in a little over a month. Already we are thinking about next school year, with out reach activities to new students, empowering student to be leaders in ministry and expanding to additional campuses.

Revival at Bethel
Bethel prayer

On February 16, Bethel College experienced a Revival that Began during a regular Wednesday chapel service and lasted well into the week. Stories continue to be related on how God is moving. Sarah Koutz has been doing a great job documenting those stories and sharing them through her blog

Greetings!

I would like to introduce you to another of our great Impact students. I met Lindsay Sherburn this fall as she began attending our Impact Bethel group. She has been a tremendous encouragement to many students and displays Christ in her life with a very humble spirit. She writes...

As the end of my sophomore year of college approaches, I have realized how fast time really moves. Right now I am a Liberal Studies major at Bethel College. Basically that means I am still waiting for God to reveal what plans He has for me after graduation. But in the meantime, I hope to continue to grow in my walk with Him and to learn what I can to prepare for the future.

I know I have been growing because the past couple years have been the hardest so far. God has been pushing me to stretch my limits and to not be content to just be comfortable. He has been teaching me not only how to love others, but also how to love Him more intimately.

This year has brought many blessings. Becoming involved with Impact has provided me with solid relationships as well as more opportunities for growth. Also, my mom has begun attending church with me regularly for the past six months. It's been exciting to see her grow and to have her join me in praying for the salvation for our other family members. I praise God for His faithfulness and am excited to find out where He will lead me next.

Thank you for continuing to pray for all of our students and for the Impact that we are making on the college campuses in the South Bend area.

Sincerely,

Retreat Group
Impact Spring Retreat

During Spring Break, March 17-20, this semester we took 13 students to Kings Mountain, KY, where we held a retreat at Springview, the home of David Joe and Bev Hatter. God moved powerfully through our group as we were challenged to uncover the masks that we wear that hinder a passionate pursuit of God and inauthentic relationships with one another.

We met new friends, Ed and Tracy Singleton on Friday night for a bon fire. Because of weather we adjourned to their barn for worship during which many students were moved to lay their masks in sguysurrender and trust at the foot of the cross.

Saturday we spent the day at Cumberland Falls. There we spent time prayer walking, exploring the rock cliffs and trails. During the journey, God opened up his desire for us to walk in freedom and in power of the Holy Spirit. Our weekend concluded on Sunday morning, as we enjoyed enthusiastic worship at the Kings Mountain Christian Church, and were treated to some down home, Kentucky cooking before we were sent off on our way home.

girlsThis is just a snippet of the story, and for each person the story is very special. Personal journals are full of the God-story that he continues to write on each of our hearts and must be shared. I think our weekend can best be summed up through the words of David Joe Hatter in his message on Sunday morning. "We become like the one we love the most." Our Impact students are becoming more and more like Jesus everyday as their love for him and one another grows.

TJ is second from the left along with other Impact students Codi, Arnold and BJ
We make many decisions in our lives but none are as important as the complete surrender of our life to God and the trust that we put in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. TJ Dalenberg accepted Jesus Christ during our retreat in KY. TJ will be baptised by his pastor at his home church back home. Thank you for praying for TJ as he takes the next steps to a fully surrendered life in Jesus.
