Burlington Township Schools
Important Notification to All Families
Follow-Up Statement

March 13, 2018

This is to provide our community with an update regarding today's communication.  The Burlington Township Police Department has provided the community with a press release regarding the status of their investigation.  Our earlier communication indicated that the police were working to determine if a specific threat existed against our schools.
The police have indicated in their alert that the individual responsible has been identified and appropriate action has being taken.

We understand the concern our families have for our children and the desire for detailed information during an incident.  Unfortunately, the district is not always in a position to share information when an investigation is ongoing and involves law enforcement.  Please know your child's safety is always our priority and we take safety and security seriously.
After working with the Burlington Township Police Department, the District has determined that we will proceed as scheduled on Wednesday, March 14, 2018.  We have requested extra police presence at all of our schools as a precaution and to provide a sense of security to our families.

Thank you again to those who brought the information to the attention of the school district. Your involvement helped the issue be addressed in a timely manner.  Should you have any future concerns regarding the immediate safety of our schools, please do not hesitate to contact us and the police department so the proper steps may be taken.  A vigilant community is vital to the overall safety of our children.
