Dear Business Owner:
Ketchum and Sun Valley are fortunate areas in Idaho that lie in the "path of totality," where a full solar eclipse will occur on August 21, 2017. Our community is expecting and preparing for possibly its largest influx of visitors. This extraordinary moment marks the first total eclipse of the sun visible from all 48 contiguous United States since 1979 and the first visible from coast to coast in the U.S. since 1918.
Two meetings have been scheduled on June 1 for local businesses to help them prepare for the arrival of a large number of visitors. Information on events leading up to and during the eclipse, and emergency planning will be provided. Representatives from the cities of Ketchum and Sun Valley, Sun Valley Company, St. Luke's Wood River Hospital, U.S. Forest Service and emergency personnel will be present at the meeting to provide details and answer questions.
The 2017 Great American Eclipse offers an amazing and unique opportunity to showcase our area. Please let us know which meeting time you or a representative of your business will attend by responding to this email or by calling 727-5077.
Thanks and see you there!
