Important message from Hillel BC Staff...
As advocates and young Jewish leaders, you are on the front lines in the diaspora, in the midst of a heated debate on Israel and Gaza. We at Hillel BC support Israel's right to protect its' citizens. If it were not for Hamas' aggression and terrorism, there would be no violence in Gaza. We do not condone the loss of innocent life and we stand for peaceful coexistence.
Some of you have requested tools to educate and confront your peers, online and in-person. We are committed to supporting you and are currently in the process of building a hands-on program to do just that at the beginning of the academic year.
If you have thoughts or insights as to how we can build a program that will support you in understanding and communicating clearly the intricacies of the conflict, please feel free to contact any of us to discuss your ideas.
A message of peace from Hillel BC's Executive Director, Rabbi Bregman...
There has been a great deal of ink spilled over the past 3-4 weeks regarding the situation in Israel/Gaza. The one individual that I always look forward to reading and learning from is my colleague, Rabbi Daniel Gordis. I'm sending you the link to his most recent posting: Whatever Happened to Evil?
May a true and meaningful peace descend upon the region.
