This IVMF survey aims to explore post-service pathways for military service members and their families throughout the entire education life cycle. The survey will be the basis for an online resource repository and other tools that will will assist service members and their families in their educational transition and post-service success.
Your responses will inform research which aims to shine a light on a missing national picture of service members and their families' experiences in higher education, and explore student veterans' views on their educational aspirations, opportunities, challenges, and barriers. By collecting and analyzing this data, the IVMF research team will identify promising "best practices" for military service members and their families at colleges, universities, and training programs across the United States. The research results will be invaluable for the military and veterans' community, and for advancing academic research on veterans. It will assist education and government thought leaders in better supporting returning service members in their educational attainments and in developing educational models for veterans' post-service success.
If we can get significant participation from military service members (active duty, reserves, and guard), veterans, and their families, we can identify "best practices" for veterans' success in education, and address challenges and barriers hindering veterans' educational achievements. Help us ensure a bright future for those to come.
