 & Volunteer Opportunities

Dear Wausau Tea Party Supporter,

Tuesday, June 5th is the recall election.  Please mark your calendars to ensure that you make time in your day to vote.  If you or someone you know is unavailable to vote on June 5th, please vote absentee and offer to drive others to vote absentee.  Don't assume, ask!

Most voters who wish to cast absentee ballots by mail must submit their written request by 5 p.m. the Thursday before the election. Voters who are military or who are indefinitely confined due to age, disability, infirmity or illness may request absentee ballots by 5 p.m. Thursday. Absentee ballots must be postmarked by Election Day in order to be counted.  Source: WI Government Accountability Board

The Wausau Tea Party is committed to promoting events and volunteer opportunities that have been organized by our patriot partners and are sponsored and often facilitated by their groups.  We are thrilled to be part of a network of dedicated individuals who are engaged in spreading the common sense message of limited government, fiscal responsibility and free markets.  We are all devoted to this mission and that of restoring and preserving our country's founding principles.  Please continue to support our Wisconsin tea party family and encourage and invite others you know to do so as well.

There are several ways for every concerned conservative to get involved to help preserve the progress made in Wisconsin.  "He who hesitates is lost."

NOW IS THE TIME!

Thank you for your continued support.

May 21st-June 2nd - Tea Party Patriots GOTV Efforts Wausau, WI

Tea Party Patriot volunteers from all across the country are coming to Wisconsin to help in our fight to defeat the recall elections. If you wonder how real the offer of help from Tea Party Patriots in other states has been, perhaps the fact that there were more than 40,000 people on a recent tele-townhall, learning how they can join in the fight in Wisconsin will give you some idea of the support we have throughout the country. Tea Party Patriots is sponsoring thousands of volunteers to come to Wisconsin to help.  Initial efforts will be concentrated in the four state senate districts where recall elections are being held.  The volunteers who come to Wisconsin will be going door-to-door, talking to people, and handing out literature about the importance of defeating these recall elections. These volunteers need people like you to let them know where they can do the most good in each district. Therefore, please consider volunteering to walk with our guests as they go about this important work on our behalf.  To volunteer, please go to the Tea Party Patriots website and sign up.

Please join me in welcoming our fellow patriots and show them the meaning of Wisconsin hospitality!

Dr. Tim's Moment of Clarity:
The Big Flush

Since Wisconsin's Democrats oppose the mining of iron ore, I am curious to see what material they have decided on to replace the steel in the tracks, wheels, frames, and motors of Mayor Barrett's proposed downtown trolley system for Milwaukee.

Any kind of metal is out - mining and smelting and all that carbon energy it takes to bend and form the stuff, you know.  Plastic is out, too - made from oil.  Can't be wood - logging and habitat disruption and whatnot. Hemp, maybe - seems to be pretty versatile stuff and it could be grown locally.   Nope, illegal.  They might end up having to knit the thing.

And speaking of iron mining, the Mayor just authorized another dumping of raw sewage into the Kinnickinnic River after a hard rain just two days before his victory in the recall primary.

What the heck does dumping 16,250 gallons of poop water into the River K have to do with iron mining, you might ask.  Well, if you recall it was Barrett's Democrats, led by urban legislators, who killed off the Mining Bill, putting the ki-bosh on thousands of jobs across the state and dashing the hopes of economic revitalization any time soon in Iron County.
