Advisory Message: Snow Emergency Ordinance 15:2 in effect. Basic snow removal requirements per Ord 520-13. Limit unnecessary travel.

Burlington Twp. Ordinance 15:2 "Snow Emergency," is in effect. In order that the municipality may have the opportunity to clear the roadways, all vehicles shall be removed from the roadway.

Please allow for plowing operations to be completed before opening driveway aprons. Do not throw snow out onto the streets. The Twp. is not responsible to clear in front of mailboxes. Remove all basketball apparatuses and any other miscellaneous objects from curbline.

Since trash collection is canceled for today, be sure to remove your cans from the roadway.

Burlington Twp Ordinance 520-13 indicates that  within 24 hours  measured from the end of a snow or ice storm, the owner or owners, occupant or occupants, tenant or tenants of premises abutting or boarding upon any street in the Township shall remove all snow and ice from the abutting sidewalks of such streets and from any fire hydrant located on the property.

Please limit any unnecessary travel, especially during the height of the storm, and if out, be mindful of obstacles such as fallen trees and/or down lines. Stay clear of any down lines out of caution that it may be a power line.
For full details,  view this message on the web.

Be sure to charge your mobile devices in case of power outages!
