The Saint Andrew Catholic School faculty/staff, students, and parents worked together for three weeks to fill boxes of food for the Holiday Outreach Program. This program benefits Saint Andrew Catholic Parish Food Pantry Outreach.
Each homeroom is asked to fill two "Big Boxes" and two "Small Boxes" with food that will be ready to deliver to the families. Complete food lists are attached to the boxes to provide a guide to the school community to know what to purchase.
This year, the school filled approximately 169 boxes (82 big boxes and 87 small boxes) which will help 82 families have a more enjoyable holiday season! The students carried the boxes to the food pantry after our Thanksgiving Mass on November 12th. "I am constantly humbled by the generosity and dedication of the Parish and the School to ministering to those who do not have enough in our community," Thomas Stumpf, Director of Food Pantry Outreach.
The Holiday Outreach boxes will be distributed prior to Thanksgiving and Christmas to those in need in our church and school family, so that they may enjoy a nice meal during the holidays.
