Scroll down for a glimpse of GGRWHC in the media and what's new on our website!
First Things: Today & Tomorrow
*** TODAY, Feb. 29th, 10:00 am ~ Kick off Women's History
Month with Shelley Irwin and the Morning Show on WGVU! Listen in at FM 88.5/95.3 when she talks to Julie Tabberer and Drew Damron, two of tomorrow's presenters on women, war, and work in 1910s Grand Rapids, when the disruptions of wartime offered women opportunities in a working world previously off limits. To listen on-line click here.
*** TOMORROW, March 1st, 7 p.m. ~ Celebrate with us at the Grand Rapids Public Library with a women's history sampler! Using unique archival resources, GRPL staff Drew Damron, Heather Edwards, and Julie Tabberer will feature factory girls during WWI, an early woman cartoonist, and a dynamic political activist--as they remain alive in census records, an employee-produced factory newsletter, city directories, newspaper articles, and 20,000 extremely rare war registration cards surveying the skills of area women. More on our website!

What's New on Our Website?
http://www.ggrwhc.org/
Especially during Women's History Month, you will find program information on our homepage-but scroll down to the bottom for two new features! Our new web mistress, Deirdre Toeller-Novak, has been experimenting with ways to bring you occasional information about other groups and our past events.
In the community and beyond currently includes a variety of information about the upcoming Pillar Awards of the Women's Resource Center; the Grand Rapids Art Museum's exhibit on Women, Art, and Social Change; and a look at a 1916 savvy Manitoba suffragist.
Photo gallery of past events features photos from our own recent programming and links to remind you either what you witnessed or what you missed. Click through directly, if you like, for photos from History Detectives on January 23 and "Early African American Women in Grand Rapids," on February 11th:
