In Memory of Eriq Oliver Neale

American Voices sincerely appreciates all who support our work. We wanted to recognize one donation in particular, made by Gary Cunningham in memory of Eriq Oliver Neale.:

"From a very early age, Eriq Oliver Neale performed and composed contemporary piano works.  He also developed a successful business as an internationally-recognized small business consultant.

Eriq passed away prematurely one year ago, on June 14, 2012, at his home in Denton, Texas, in the company of his beloved wife Anna and brother Jason Joseph. He was a native of Lubbock, Texas, where his parents Sharon and Ken Romines and many friends miss him.   He was memorialized at an English-language church service for All Saints Day in Salo, Finland, on Sunday November 4, 2012, with a stirring jazz piano rendition of "When the Saints Go Marching In ..." by a local Jazz pianist which brought tears to my eyes.

A donation in memory of Eriq Oliver Neale allows aspiring young musicians to attend YES Academy Iraq to pursue musical skills, especially on Eriq's beloved instrument the piano.

In two weeks, from June 27 to June 30, I will be privileged to attend the YES Academy Iraq in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq to view the performances of those whose attendance is made possible by the matching grant donation challenge."

In loving memory,

Gary Cunningham
