In an effort to bicycle thefts, the UC Merced Police Department encourages members of the community to do the following:
* Secure your bicycle in a location on campus that his bike racks * When securing your bicycle to a bike rack, use a device such as a "u-bolt" type lock to secure your bicycle to the rack. Although cable-style locks can be a good deterrent, they are much easier to defeat than u-bolt locks * Be sure to attach your lock through the frame of the bicycle rather than just through a wheel. * Register your bicycle with the UC Merced Police Department. Bicycles can be registered for up to two years for $3.00. * If you see suspicious activity, including someone who appears to be tampering with bicycles, call the Police Department immediately.
Please feel free to contact the UC Merced Police Department if you have any questions.
UC Merced is proud to be a smoke and tobacco free campus. Please remember that smoking and other tobacco use on campus property is not permitted. This includes UC leased spaces such as the Heritage Apartments.
If you have not already, please take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the Housing & Residence Life handbook. You should have received a copy when you moved in. If you did not or have misplaced yours, there are
