Children with disabilities - openings for Camp Wamp August 12-17
To families, who have children with disabilities - there are still openings for Camp Wamp this summer for all sessions.

Camp Wamp is FREE for kids with physical disabilities ages (10-18).

Together at the Table- Income Inequality August 15 th
Sonoma County Library's "Together at the Table" series, which is a program that encourages our community to come together to voice thoughts and opinions on important topics with decision makers. The program facilitates discussion around current issues.  The August topic is INCOME INEQUALITY and panelists include: Sonoma County Economic Development Board, North Bay Jobs for Justice, Sonoma County Workforce Investment Board, and the California Labor Commission.

Volunteers Needed - Catholic Charities
Responding to Mendocino and Lake County Fires
Catholic Charities is looking for  on-call  volunteers to relieve current local evacuation center volunteers with shift changes, overnight shifts, and food prep. 

Currently needed is volunteers able to commit to a 4-5 hour evacuation center shift. Days and jobs are varying as this week progresses. If you are interested and available in being  on-call , please complete the link below and one of our staff members will contact you.

Title of Announcement: School Counseling Specialist 
Salary: $222.02 - $419.18 (Daily)

Position Summary: The School Counseling Specialist will ensure that migrant students will receive quality mentoring, career, vocational, and college awareness. The School Counseling Specialist will provide support and guidance for qualified MEAP Advisors that are hired, trained and provided with ongoing professional development in relationship to school counseling competencies at assigned school sites, as outlined by the ASCA (American School Counselor Association) National Model. School Counseling Specialists will provide leadership for the supplemental support of, and collaboration with, participating school district counseling programs to serve migrant students. Efforts will include promoting and supporting the design, delivery, evaluation and improvement of comprehensive school counseling services in a systematic manner to improve the academics, attendance, behavior, and career exploration of all migrant students.

Title of Announcement: Children's Residential Care Counselor I
Salary: $45,123.54 - $54,849.52 Annually
Position Summary: The Valley of the Moon Children's Center (VMCC) is a part of the Family Youth & Children's Services division of the Department of Human Services. It provides temporary, emergency shelter care for children ages newborn through 17 who have entered foster care due to abuse, abandonment, neglect, or resulting from parents/guardians inability to care for them.
A Children's Residential Care Counselor I is required to carry out the mission and trauma-informed care philosophies and approaches as they pertain to day-to day operations of VMCC. This includes direct supervision of youth, to ensure their safety and well-being, by monitoring program participation and setting limits as appropriate. 
Title of Announcement: Sign Shop Graphics Undergraduate Intern
Salary: $13.61 - $16.54 Hourly
Position Summary: This paid internship position will afford an undergraduate student excellent hands-on, directly relevant work experience. To qualify for the position, you must currently be enrolled at an accredited college or university.
As the Sign Shop Graphics Intern, you will work within the Operations and Maintenance Division of Regional Parks to assist the Lead Sign Maker with the fabrication and layout of park signage, interpretative displays, and banners using Adobe Suite. 
The ideal Intern will be a self-motivated individual, who enjoys taking initiative, learning, and being a part of a team. The individual should be detailed-oriented and have strong communication skills. Familiarity with graphic design and Adobe Suite preferred..

Title of Announcement: Dental Assistant
Position Summary: The Dental Assistant performs a variety of dental assisting duties while promoting a safe and clean environment for quality dental care. These duties include but are not limited to assisting the doctor, and teaching patients how to care for their teeth. Communicates effectively with the patient; maintains equipment and inventory, cleans, sterilizes and packages instruments and follows standard precautions, OSHA requirements and dental board auxiliaries’ regulations. The Dental Assistant works on behalf of the patient and the dentist helping to assure a high level of professional excellence in oral health care delivery.

Salary: $4,052.33 - $4,925.67 Monthly

Position Summary: Customer Service Representatives work in a call center environment responding to customer inquiries, maintaining customer accounts, processing service requests, processing tax registration forms, and receiving payments according to specific guidelines and procedures. This class is distinguished from the general office support classes in that the responsibilities include extensive public interaction in situations requiring problem resolution, and duties which relate specifically to the maintenance of accounts.
Title of Announcement: Preschool Teacher FT / PT/ Substitute Teacher
Salary: $12.00-$17.00 based on position
Position Summary: Working under the direction of the Center Director/Site Supervisor and in collaboration with the other teaching staff, teachers are responsible for developing and implementing a quality childcare program that helps develop children’s physical, social/emotional, and cognitive areas of development. This can include, but is not limited to, modeling positive communication, nurturance, and effective problem-solving skills. Responsible for planning classroom and small group activities around weekly themes and children’s skill set, setting-up and cleaning-up activities, assisting with the arrival and departure of children, and maintaining appropriate classroom records. Teachers develop and maintain professional communication and dialogue with parents and hold bi-annual parent/teacher conferences with the family of their primary group of students. They also complete necessary assessments for children and participate in all Center activities. 
Title of Announcement: Database Administrator
Salary: $20.00-$22.00
Position Summary: The Database Administrator position is responsible for data management and reporting functions as it relates to program outcomes. This includes training users on processes and procedures. In coordination with the Director of Programs, assists with various technology needs of the agency, performs database administration, and advises and supports Management with information analysis related to grant and fund development.
