We are a non-profit organization that incorporates rescue animals into summer camp and after-school and weekend programs. Fun camp activities include swimming at the Finley Center, archery, horseback riding, lapidary (rock polishing), carpentry, cooking, ropes courses, "Puppy & Kitten Love," journalism, field trips, and so much more! Kids do farm animal-related activities like goat milking, too. Kids that participate in our unique camp program get the best of everything! Our program encourages growth and new interests, which in turn build confidence.

Looking for a way to give back to your community? 
 
We're working to add nearly 40% more clients to our meal program in Santa Rosa. Demand for our healing meals is high, and the recent closure of our café frees up space and time in the kitchen. But we need more volunteers to make it happen! Can you help out with one of these important roles--
  • Delivery Angels (Wednesday evening and Thursday morning). *We especially need Delivery Angels willing to travel to Sonoma Valley!
  • Prep volunteers (12:30-2:30 shifts on Tuesday and Wednesday)
  • Teen Chefs and Gardeners

Position Summary: 
LandPaths seeks an individual with a passion for building a diverse, healthy and whole community connected with the land. The ideal candidate is driven, energetic and creative; excels in an active work environment, is committed to equity in access to nature, and loves the outdoors. The IOOBY Field Specialist
will provide day-to-day field implementation of LandPaths' IOOBY program, an award-winning, innovative field-based education and nature-immersion program for elementary youth. The IOOBY Field Specialist will represent LandPaths in the classroom and in the field in a manner that builds collaboration with teachers, parents and volunteers, and fellow Field Specialists to implement specifically designed curriculum and "teachable moments" in the field.

The IOOBY Field Specialist is responsible for implementing effective environmental education and immersion excellence according to curriculum, all day-of-program logistics, and safety. The IOOBY Field Specialist is responsible for knowing best practices and lesson plan content, and providing daily reflections of the effectiveness of the program and the response of participants including quotes, photographs and teacher input.

Experience and Qualifications:
A successful candidate will likely have significant experience leading youth programs, including the following qualifications:
  • A genuine passion for rooting youth in nature and for equity in access to nature;
  • Experience working with youth;
  • Comfort and confidence in the outdoors;
  • Experience leading groups;
  • Detail oriented, well organized;
  • Strong communication skills: articulate with proven ability to write effectively and speak persuasively, willing to have difficult conversations to build community;
  • Bi-lingual and/or having a significant cross-cultural experience or understanding;
  • HS diploma or equivalent, some college and or relevant work experience

Title of Announcement: Housing Locator housing

Salary:  $58,293.27 - $70,878.59 Annually

Intro: The CDC is dedicated to promoting decent and affordable housing in Sonoma County, and revitalizing our community. As the CDC's Housing Locator you will work to expand the number of landlords willing to work with the Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) program. The program connects our most vulnerable community members with property owners and managers in order to help tenants rent and live in the private housing market, and increase economic stability for property owners. As the Housing Locator you will:
  • Conduct outreach to property owners and managers, distribute program materials, and communicate the benefits of participation in the Housing Choice Voucher program
  • Build long-lasting relationships with property managers, landlords, owners, and firms to expand the scope of participation
  • Negotiate leases and contracts with participating property owners, and implement housing assistance contracts and leases between property owners and tenants
  • Perform housing unit inspections and annual re-inspections of properties for compliance with Federal housing quality standards, to include mediating owner and tenant complaints, processing terminations and claims, and assisting landlords in handling appeals
  • Assist tenants with the Request for Tenancy Approval (RFTA) process and landlord rental applications
  • Inform voucher holders of the full range of areas where they may lease units, to include suppling lists of landlords or other parties who are willing to lease units or help families find units
The ideal candidate for this position will have experience networking with landlords, renter associations, property management companies, and other local housing providers. They will also have experience with case management and assisting clients with housing applications and vouchers. Knowledge of tenant/landlord relations and Fair Housing laws and practices is highly desired, and experience with property management and marketing techniques are beneficial.

THE CURRENT OPPORTUNITY:
The current available assignment is in the Fleet Services Division of the Transportation and Public Works Department. The Equipment Service Writer is the primary contact person for both customers and Fleet Services Division staff seeking information about equipment status. This is the advanced journey level classification in the mechanical maintenance series located in the Field Services Division.

The District Attorney Investigator I investigates sensitive cases pertaining to civil and criminal complaints, consumer fraud, public corruption, and related matters. As a District Attorney Investigator I, you will:
Perform investigations for pending criminal matters, serve civil papers, and make arrests as necessary
Investigate, locate, and ensure victims and witnesses are available for interviews and court dates
Conduct home visits and in-the-field surveillance to obtain information pertinent to the prosecution of cases
Investigate locations and scenes of alleged crimes for evidence and to evaluate physical, material, and environmental factors relevant to cases
Photograph and prepare charts and diagrams of crime scenes and events
The ideal candidate will possess:
Recent experience as a full time law enforcement officer in California (as defined by Penal Code section 830.1.)
Significant coursework and training in the behavioral sciences, law enforcement, and techniques of investigations
Criminal investigations experience involving fraud and other financial related crimes, crimes against children, sexual assault, domestic violence or other violent crimes
Experience in environmental crime investigations is desirable

Position Title: Dental Patient Care Coordinator I

Summary: The Dental Patient Care Coordinator I is the initial resource person for patients entering the Petaluma Health Center Dental Clinic, and sets the tone for welcoming patients. Responsible for managing all aspects of the practice's schedule. Responsible for managing a variety of other duties related to prospective and existing patients, including coordinating all elements before, during, and following the patient appointment.

Position Summary:
Under general supervision and with a focus on continuous improvement and customer service, the executive assistant provides executive support to the Chief Dental Officer and the dental provider group. The Administrative Assistant acts as liaison between the Chief Dental Officer and internal/outside contacts and provides a wide range of administrative support, including organizing, communicating and coordinating information, scheduling appointments and travel, expense report submissions, and meeting and conference logistics support. Using independent judgment, problem-solving skills, and initiative, the AA determines approach or action to take in non-routine situations. Candidate must demonstrate initiative to follow up on relevant day-to-day activities while keeping supervisor informed of project status and next steps. Must be able to interpret and adapt departmental guidelines, including policies and procedures.

Education/Experience
Bachelor's Degree preferred with at least 2 years of professional level experience in an administrative support capacity; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience working in a healthcare setting preferred

Language Skills
Bilingual in English and Spanish, both written and verbal preferred.

Computer Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point), Adobe Acrobat, and Social Media web platforms. Smart Sheet, Smart Draw preferred
