walter Message from Executive Director Walter Kalman

Dude, come home and do your job...

Regardless of what you think of his performance as Governor, while Chris Christie chases his fantasy - we have one of the highest unemployment rates in the nation, many families will be cut off food stamps if they can't get jobs, hundreds of thousands more are at risk of losing their healthcare if Obamacare is destroyed (as he and his peers propose to do), affordable housing development continues to be stalled for over 10,000 homeless and many more low-income individuals who need it, and our roads and bridges are in danger of collapse (or worse).

Our Governor was never shy about demonstrating his arrogance, but he has reached the height of audacity in his declaration to Senator Rubio of Florida that if he doesn't show up to do his job, he should quit. And at the annual Legislative Correspondents Dinner, the Governor used a four letter word a dozen times to indicate how much he no longer cares about what happens in New Jersey.

Follow your own advice, Governor. If you aren't coming back to New Jersey to deal with the struggles of our citizens, then quit and pursue your fantasy. Let the Lieutenant Governor do the job for which she was elected and did for almost three quarters of 2015 while you were out of state.
