We are excited to announce a new award which will be presented at this year's Annual Social Work Gala in October.

The Outstanding Service Award is given to NASW-NJ members or a community-based social work program for outstanding service to their local communities.

Each Chapter Unit will present an award to a Unit member or local organization. Through these Awards, NASW-NJ recognizes the best in social work values and accomplishments demonstrated by our members and organizations.

Morris Unit members had a great time doing yoga at the Purple Om Studio in Denville on 9/16/16!  The next Morris Unit Event will be on October 31 at 6 pm at the Morris County Library. License Renewal
Good News About Renewing Your Social Work License
 
 
If you've been having trouble renewing your license or certification, there's good news. The Board of Social Work Examiners (BSWE) has extended the date for renewal to September 30, 2016.

Click here to read the full ALERT on the top of the BSWE Web site. If you're still having problems, do not try to call the BSWE office because the renewal web site is managed by the Division of Consumer Affairs (DCA). If you've tried to renew on the Web site at least 3 times without success, please call the DCA at 973.273.8001. 

When you finish renewing, you will be able to print out a receipt/confirmation that you have paid. Be sure to print and keep this receipt so you will have proof that you have renewed.

Installment Payment Option Now Available for Membership Renewal

You now may pay your membership renewal in full in two or three installments by your membership renewal date. Installment payments may be made by mail to PO Box 79949, Baltimore, MD 21279-0949 or by phone to NASW Member Services at 800.742.4089 Monday - Friday, 9AM - 9PM ET.
