A Message from the IMR Committee Chair, Bob Cutler
To the IMR Community,
The IMR Network is in full swing as we finished up the Sanibel Summit and reviewed all of the results. It is important that we communicate and let everyone know what is going on within our Rep Network.
Let me start with the Summit recap. This year, we had 87 attendees that was evenly split between IMR’s and Manufacturers and 31% of those that participated were first timers. For those whom did not attend we had 5 wonderful speakers - Paul Madden of Master Fluid Solutions, Mike Marks of Indian River Consulting Group, Abram Walton of Florida Institute of Technology, Bryan Shirley of BC Services, and Steve Turner of Turner Time Management & Marketing. All scored very well and were very informative.
In addition, this year we started RepMatch, where Manufacturers looking for representation and IMR’s looking for companies to represent could meet for 75 minutes at the beginning of each day. This was very successful as you could see from the turnout.
Of course, being in Sanibel in February with awesome weather never hurts. But one of the really cool things that came out of this event is that the ISA made a video recapping the Summit. Scroll below for a link to the video. This is fantastic.
Please note, the New ISA is a wonderful supporter of the IMR’s and, for that ,I want to thank Ed Gerber and his team. They have helped us in every way possible to be a success. Primarily, our group is made up of Manufacturer’s and IMR’s and it is in everyone’s best interest to facilitate the professionalism and utilization of the IMR’s.
Lastly, in July we are having a strategy meeting of six IMRs and six Manufacturers to explore how we can take our collaboration and combined channel efforts to a whole new level. We have invited some very special people to help with this initiative I look forward to reporting back to everyone soon.
