On behalf of the OC Marathon, we are writing to offer our sincerest apologies for the discrepancy in the distance at yesterday's OC Wahoo's 5k.

 

Due to an unfortunate oversight when the set up was done, we came up a little short on distance.

 

The distance of the race will be adjusted to the actual course length and your pace will also be adjusted accordingly.

 

As compensation, we will be offering every finisher in yesterday's race a 50% DISCOUNT into our OC Wahoo's 5k on May 5, 2013. You will be contacted again when we open registration for next year as a reminder.

 

Again, we sincerely apologize for this mistake and appreciate your participation and regret any frustration or disappointment this may have caused you.  

 

We thank Wahoo's for the great finish line festival party, medal and t-shirt that our finisher's got to enjoy and for the on course and after race Gatorade they donated. We also greatly appreciate their patience and understanding with this matter.  

 

We strive for excellence in all that we do and this in no way should reflect upon Wahoo's as the responsibility for the course and its distance falls solely on the OC Marathon for accuracy.
