If you haven't had the opportunity to give to The Grace Fund yet, now is the perfect time!  By giving today, your investment in Grace will make twice the impact because your gift will be matched dollar for dollar, by a very generous anonymous donor.  This is an unbelievable opportunity for you, and for Grace.  Click on the yellow "Say Yes to the Grace Fund" button below to give your gift today.

Why I Say Yes to Grace:  "Grace welcomed us into it's family after we moved to Jacksonville from the west coast.  We fell in love with the school and it's community and have been thrilled to watch our son grow and prosper over the past few years.  We enthusiastically give to the school to help it thrive and allow other families to experience this wonderful school."

Board of Trustees Member

It's That Time of Year Again...
The middle school is organizing a school-wide competition to collect food items that will be donated to the Green Cove Springs Food Pantry.  All students at Grace and their families are encouraged to participate!  This food drive is our annual food collection in preparation for Ingathering, but this year we've again added a fun twist!

Beginning on November 13th students can bring in food items to be donated.  As students enter the gate there will be collection bins labeled with the names of four college teams.  Students will vote for their favorite team by placing their items into their team bin.  The last day for collection of food items will be on Thursday the 16th.  The middle school students will count the number of items collected in the bins each day.  On Thursday the winning team will be announced, however, the real winners will be the families that are blessed by your giving.

As an extra fun element to this food drive, students may wear their favorite team shirt to school on Thursday the 16th. Students must still wear their regular uniform bottoms on this day.  If you do not have a favorite team, remember that you are part of the GEDS team and can wear your GEDS t-shirt.

The food drive runs from 11/13-11/16 and the type of food items usually donated are: canned vegetables, fruit and beans, jars of peanut butter, boxes of pasta, and spaghetti sauce.

The four teams in our competition are:
    The Alabama Crimson Tide
                         The Georgia Bulldogs
                         The Florida Gators
                         The FSU Seminoles

Thank you all for helping with this community service activity!

Thanksgiving Ingathering

Please join us for our Thanksgiving Ingathering service at 9 AM, next Friday, November 17th, in Grace Episcopal Church.  This is a service of Thanksgiving praise and worship.  1st-8th grade students will be dismissed at 11 AM.  Afternoon Extended Day will be closed.  Please make sure your child wears his/her chapel uniform on this day.

PK3, PK4, and K will be performing during this service.  If your child is a M, T, W only preschooler, we would like to have them at school for this special performance.  Preschoolers and Kindergarteners will return to their classrooms for their "Thanksgiving feast" and be dismissed immediately following.

We will not have chapel on Wednesday, November 15th.  Your child does not have to wear his/her chapel uniform on this day.
Welcome!

Today our 4th through 8th graders had the opportunity to participate in some team building exercises facilitated by Jessica Tillman.  At Grace, we believe it's important to develop interpersonal relationship skills in order for our students to become insightful, contributing members of our community.  Jessica, a former Grace parent and current WyldLife leader with Young Life, will be facilitating this pilot program at Grace.  We feel blessed to have this opportunity for our students and look forward to more team building opportunities throughout the year with Mrs. Tillman.

Artists of the Week

Congratulations to our new artists of the week, from the 8th grade, Kate and Donald.  They each used paint and oil pastel to create a beautiful picture of a toucan.  We have such talented students at Grace - these look great!
