Message from Councilmember Steven
Neal
Happy Friday neighbors,
On Tuesday, Senator Rod Wright passed Senate Bill
1483, the Multi-Family Improvement District Act. Originally, this
bill was set to end January 1, 2012 but this measure allowed the
law to be extended to January 1, 2022.
What this means is that multifamily improvement
districts such as Andy Street, which is
located in the 9th District, will be able to continue to assess the
improvement district's rental properties in order to finance
certain improvements and promote activities that would be
beneficial to the community.
I also wanted to remind everyone to come
out Saturday to our North Village Design Town
Hall at 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. inside
the Jordan High School cafeteria. This is the chance for 9th
District residents to have their voices heard and be involved with
this in this very exciting new development in the Ninth
District. If you would like to see 3-D
images of what the North Village center could be,
Slideshow.
I'm looking forward to
seeing everyone tomorrow to help build a better 9th District!

Sincerely,
Steven Neal
