After receiving his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Virginia Tech in 1999, Chris spent two years as a postdoctoral researcher in polymer physics at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory. Chris is the co-inventor of 32 patents / patents pending and co-author of 55 publications in peer-reviewed journals. Chris received the 2008 Sparks-Thomas Award from the ACS Rubber Division, and he is an associate editor of the journal Rubber Chemistry and Technology .
Some interesting facts about Chris:
  • 2015 Winner of Akron, Ohio’s Pickle Making Contest in the Hot Pickles category
  • He spent two years in Saudi Arabia as Deputy Director of an elastomer technical college
