ExxonMobil Grants $15,000 for E-learning, Library Materials

The International University of Grand-Bassam (IUGB) celebrated Science and Technology Day and the inauguration of its new Science and Technology Center on Friday, June 10, 2016. IUGB Board Chairman Mr. Kouassi Kouame, President Saliou Touré, IUGB and its public and private sector partners created Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Day to develop, highlight and strengthen IUGB's activities in these fields and to increase female student participation.  Read more...

IUGB/CCE AND UEMOA CELEBRATE FIRST LANGUAGE CENTER GRADUATES

Under a two-year agreement signed on June 3, 2014 between IUGB and the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA), IUGB's Center for Continuing Education was tasked with setting up and managing a language center at UEMOA's headquarters in Burkina Faso. The CCE proudly announces that 95 UEMOA employees recently completed their course of study at the language center. Read more...
FOCUS ON WOMEN AND GIRLS:
IUGB'S STEM PROGRAM PARTNERS WITH GIST

IUGB is partnering with The American Embassy in Côte d'Ivoire in implementing the Embassy's new program, "Girls in Science and Technology" (GIST). Girls from primary and secondary schools nationwide are eligible to participate in this program, whose goal is to introduce female students to and increase their participation in Science and Technology and prepare them for university level courses in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).

IUGB STUDENTS RECEIVE ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE AWARDS AT U.S. UNIVERSITY

Our students make us proud. Congratulations to N'Golo Ouattara who received the Outstanding Economics major award and Mariam Karamoko who received the Outstanding Finance major award for the 2015-2016 academic year. This recognition was bestowed on these students at the University of Central Arkansas, one of IUGB's major U.S. university partners. These awards are for the top student based on overall academic performance in each discipline area as selected by their professors. Paukou Kouame also received an Acxiom Corporation Scholarship.  Read more...
