Artist's Statement:
Imagine yourself at the top of the Empire State Building, surveying the city below you, in its entire nuance. "What does it all mean?" How would you respond? What answer would you give? What answer could you give?
My work is the distillation of sixty-six years of life experiences. Each and every painting in this show has depths and meanings that I could never put into words. If I could, I would be an author.
There are limits to words - times when there are no words. Each and every person viewing this work has a lifetime of experiences, lenses through which they view the world. Just as we would describe the same sunset differently, so will we too these paintings.
