Following the tragic passing of a classmate's infant son, LL.M. graduates from the Class of 2016 organized the building of a well in Rojhan, Pakistan, near his family’s roots, that bears the boy's name and serves about 200 people in an impoverished area.
Fifteen Berkeley Law 1Ls were named 2017 California Bar Foundation Diversity Scholars. That is one-fourth of the overall recipients, and 10 more than any other school. The scholarships support first-year California law students to help increase diversity in the legal profession.
