Renaissance Festival Event
The Clover Center
Sat., Mar. 24 from 4:30 - 7 p.m.
Family-friendly event with roving minstrels and actors in the attire of the day. Period enthusiasts will explain the dress, food, entertainment and past times of the Elizabethan Era. Audience volunteers will dress in armored knight outfits and period costumes with complete demonstration and description.
Weapons and sword exhibition presentation.
Kids activities include a craft, interactive juggling, blind man's bluff, etc. Food stations will sell period delectables such as mini meat pies, baked apples, mini pear pies, turkey and chicken legs, and grog. Sit-down dinner will be available.

Leading the charge in protecting religious liberty in Washington and around the country is the Baptist Joint Committee for Religious Liberty. Amanda Tyler will help us re-center the
importance of this issue.

The first hand-written and hand-illuminated Bible commissioned by a Benedictine monastery since the invention of the printing press, was created "to ignite the spiritual imagination of people around the world of all faith journeys." In keeping with medieval traditions, it was written on vellum, using quills, natural handmade inks, hand-ground pigments and gild such as gold leaf, silver leaf and platinum. The Heritage edition is a full-size, seven-volume fine art reproduction of The Saint John's Bible. Timothy Ternes, of St. Benedict/St. John's University, will lead a "Visio divina," a special way of seeing and interpreting the Bible, on Wed., April 4 at 1:30. Read

Beginning Thu., Mar. 8 at 7:30 pm, Rev. Alan Newton will host a bi-weekly evening discussion of the book Fishing Tips: How Curiosity Transformed a Community of Faith by Rev. Dr. John Pentland. These discussions are open to pastors and church leaders, available for distance learning.
