As you know, self-empowerment is an inside job, meaning it begins with you. Self-empowerment begins with helping yourself. This is what enables you to shift to a better perspective and see life differently. We unknowingly hurt ourselves and need to change directions.
This week I want to reinforce the importance of taking good care of yourself. This is key to transforming your life. If you take good care of yourself, you will get stronger on many levels. You need to care for you body, mind and spirit. You need to value all aspects of yourself to fully benefit from what life has to offer you.
Let's get your mind in order this week-
Each morning write one sentence about yourself. Something kind, loving and endearing. How about something like...I am thoughtful. One simple sentence each day. It will take all of 50 seconds so do it!
Let's get your spirit leading this week-
Each day take at least a 5 minute break to relax and breathe deeply; connect with your spirit and feel peace. If you already do this make it a grander experience. Raise the bar. This will clear your head which will help you see life differently. You will be stepping out of your mind into a higher place.
Let's get that beautiful body healthier this week-
Go for a 10 minute walk each day. Dance around the house. Do a physical activity for at least 10 minutes a day that will help your body feel good and get strong. Do whatever fits in with your lifestyle and individual physical tolerance level. Do what will help you be healthier. And if you are an exercise fiend, try the opposite approach. Relax and pamper that body of yours.
For those of you that are already doing these types of activities, good for you! Help yourself in a bigger way this week. Take a few moments to figure out how you can cater this concept of self-care to you and your lifestyle.
