GC International Field School of Evangelism for NY2013

Greetings!

Warm greetings in the name of the Lord. Below is the information about the GC International Field School of Evangelism in New York next year. In subsequent emails I will send more information.

Would you please be so kind as to forward this e-mail to any pastor/lay evangelist, and/or ministries that may be interested in participating?

If you have any questions, please e-mail me.

We have very little time left, so let's unite in praying like never before for a true Revival and Reformation to fulfill the Mission. Let's us not allow anything to distract us from what is the most important. Many blessings. Praying for you. Maranatha!

NY13 Launches with a Message of Health!

NY13 is embracing from its inception the counsel of using the right arm of the gospel as an opening wedge. Friday September 21, 2013, the first day of the Prayer Rally, found leaders from the General Conference, North American Division, Atlantic Union, and the local Conferences, in a meeting at City Hall with mayor's representatives.

The church leaders had the opportunity to share how Seventh-day Adventists will be engaging in health promotion and disease prevention campaigns in the next several months to share a message of health, healing and hope. Doors were opened to develop partnerships with NY City's Health department in the fight against the epidemic of obesity and chronic disease.

(Watch as a 103-year-old lady completes the 5K)

On Sunday, September 23, 2012, more than 1,000 people came together at the Flushing Meadows Park, in Queens for Let's Move Day. More than 800 participants run and walked the 5K course logging nearly 2,500 miles toward the Adventist Church in North America's one million mile goal. Officials from the White House and the Health and Human Services department attended and shared their appreciation for what the Seventh-day Adventist Church is doing to improve the health of children, families, and the community at large by encouraging people to live healthy lives physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually.

Special thanks to pastors Merino and Daley for helping to organize Let's Move Day New York.

DIVINELY INSPIRED FOUNDATIONAL STATEMENTS

  1. "ALL AUTHORITY IS GIVEN UNTO ME IN HEAVEN AND IN EARTH, GO YOU THEREFORE AND MAKE DISCIPLES OF ALL NATIONS... (Matthew 28:19).
  2. "THE SON OF MAN IS COME TO SEEK AND SAVE THE LOST... (Luke 19:10).
  3. Evangelism Our Real Work.--"Evangelistic work, opening the Scriptures to others, warning men and women of what is coming upon the world, is to occupy more and still more of the time of God's servants." (Review and Herald, Aug. 2, 1906).
  4. Speeding the Message.--"As a people we greatly need to humble our hearts before God, pleading His forgiveness for our neglect to fulfill the gospel commission. We have made large centers in a few places, leaving unworked many important cities. Let us now take up the work appointed us, and proclaim the message that is to arouse men and women to a sense of their danger. If every Seventh-day Adventist had done the work laid upon him, the number of believers would now be much larger than it is." (Testimonies, vol. 9, pg. 25).
  5. "There is no change in the messages that God has sent in the past. The work in the cities is the essential work for this time. When the cities are worked as God would have them, the result will be the setting in operation of a mighty movement such as we have not yet witnessed." (Medical Ministry, pg. 30).
  6. "The Lord is speaking to His people at this time, saying, Gain an entrance into the cities, and proclaim the truth in simplicity and in faith. Introduce no strange doctrine into your message, but speak the simple words of the gospel of Christ, which young and old can understand. The unlearned as well as the educated are to comprehend the truths of the third angel's message, and they must be taught in simplicity. If you would approach the people acceptably, humble your hearts before God and learn His ways." (Counsels on Medical Evangelism pg. 15).
