INWED17 Resource Pack Launch

The Women's Engineering Society (WES) is proud to launch here the Resource Pack for
International Women in Engineering Day on 23 June 2017 : your guide to the celebration and how to get involved.

In 2016 we were delighted to see so many organisations, companies and people take part. This year we aim to build on that success and to make the day even more widely celebrated around the world. With your help and commitment, we hope to bring INWED17 to massive audiences, within the UK and internationally, from classrooms to board rooms - celebrating the present, and inspiring the coming generations of women engineers.

Now it is time to start planning for
#INWED17  -  23 June 2017
INWED 2017 - How It's Made
  • The International Women in Engineering Day is co-ordinated by the Women's Engineering Society. For its fourth year, Sarah Yates has joined our team to lead the INWED project.
  • We are greatly indebted to our Sponsors who took a stance for equality and diversity, and who provide invaluable support as our partners for INWED17.
  • The call for nominations is open for the Top 50 Women in Engineering under 35, in partnership with The Daily Telegraph. Please visit their nominations hub to nominate your candidate who deserves recognition for their contribution.
  • The sub-theme for INWED17 is #MenAsAllies, acknowledging the efforts of male peers promoting equality and diversity across engineering disciplines.
  • Please follow us on Twitter at  @INWED1919 and use the  #INWED17 hashtag to share your thoughts, ideas and pictures with us.
  • Tell us more about your event so we can display it on our interactive map. Please send us your Event Notification Form available both from the website and from the Resource Pack.
  • If you want to wear your passion on your sleeve, our EngiWear online store delivers INWED17 tank tops and T-shirts to celebrate in style.
  • We are now working on additional materials to help you organise and promote your events. Please check our website over the coming months for tools and tips.
