A Message from your New Board Chair
This year, we bring in new leadership at your Chamber. Andy Price, President of McKenzie-Price Agency, is the new Chair of the Chamber board. In addition, Tom Schultz of Tyler Sales is the new Vice Chair, Steve Olsen of Northern Machine Tool is the new Secretary, and Randy Filbrandt is the committee Treasurer.

We also have four new board of directors: John Swanson of Swanson Pickle, Jay Wallace Jr. of Edward Jones Investments, Anna Duggins of Parmenter O’Toole, and Gary Allore of Mercy Health.

We must bid farewell to our exceptional chairman, Lee Coggin, former President of Baker College. We are also losing board member, John Workman of Eagle Alloy, who has greatly contributed to our success as a chamber!

Introducing Hist-o-gram Stories
Your Chamber is celebrating 125 years! Each month, we will be recognizing a historic moment of the Chamber's history in what we are calling "Hist-o-gram Stories". This month, we are featuring how the Chamber began.

It all started with Charles Hackley and a few other lumber industry leaders who saw the need for urban revitalization and economic development in Muskegon. They organized the Muskegon Board of Trade that later formed into the Muskegon Chamber of Commerce in 1893. Thank you, Charles Hackley and other lumber industry leaders, for paving the way!
