Broome-Tioga NAACP’s YEPP program
is offering
a
$100.00
week stipend for successful participation in the
ATTAIN Center Microsoft Office Suite (MOS) certification program.
This six week computer training will provide participants with MOS certification.The program is geared towards historically marginalized youth in
Broome County
ages 17 - 25 years, economically disadvantaged,
and youth of color.
Topics that will be covered include digital literacy and Microsoft office suite programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Participants will have to complete in-house and online tests conducted by the ATTAIN Center.
Attendance is a requirement.
This certification can lead to better employment options and higher success in school.

Why/Who?
Historically, marginalized youth of color experience the highest unemployment rates nationally. Here in Broome County the rate is about 10% compared to 5% of some other groups.
We would like to see a change in that statistic to help improve the economic standing of youth in our community.
