Ready for a fun week ahead indeed! Starting Monday with Savannah Urbanism Series at Trinity Methodist Church to see the handsome Stephen Plunk & friends! Tuesday will be wild! Scott is off to see those incredibly smart women in construction at Nat'l Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) meetting, including Tonya Reed at Lori and John Collin's Savannah Coffee Roasters while Marianne heads over to see the beautiful Ericka Backus at the Chamber Public Relations council's monthly meeting. . Then we rush across town to the Military Appreciation lunch at the Westin with the rest of the Chamber of Commerce folks, That evening a southern WATERMELON MARTINIS AND COOKIES soiree not to be missed at Picker Joe's Antique Mall with James Plumlee & Chris Shomo! A special Savannah Watermelon Martini from Ghost Coast Distillery Vodka 261! The Distillery's owners Chris & Julie Sywassink never disappoint! Ice-Cream scooped by the wonderful Chad & Meri Scribner of Ben & Jerry's and many other delights including fresh watermelon- from Becky Polk Bashlor of Polk's Produce ! All funds go to local charity CCDS ! The 4th Thursday of the month is always an adrenaline rush! Start out with the fabulous Joyce McBride, Jessica Schroyer, Michael H. Smith, Allison Adams, Karen Wray & Kevin Herzwig at the Greater Savannah Coalition on Aging at Memorial. Then off to Buy Local Savannah for the Lunch featuring Mark Dana of the 200 Club and to see Mickey Minick, Michele Thompson, Sue Else, Caleb Harkleroad, Michael Sullivan & the gang at Cohens Retreat. Saturday, Scott is heading out to see Becky Polk Bashlor for her SUMMER FESTIVAL with local artists & vendors at Polk's Plus Produce in Pooler !

A Tribute to a True Southern Gentle-Man

John Collins
- Husband, Father, GrandFather, Friend, Local Business Owner, & Confidant. A spirited joyful man who everyone loved to be around, his smile and laugh could light up an entire county. His positive energy touched anyone he came in contact with.
John Collins was a true southern gentleman through & through. He always had a huge smile & even bigger hugs! John usually remembered everyone by name. He was the most genuine, gentile, sincere man. Heaven gained a beautiful angel this weekend and we are all better people for knowing John Collins.
To Lori Collins, the beautiful Aussie that was so lucky to meet her southern match, the love of her life. We love you, Lori and the Savannah community will be here for you. It was an honor to know your genuine love, to know the John & Lori love story. Savannah Coffee Roasters, Savannah, Australia, Collins GA, & the world are all grieving for the loss of a true southern gentleman. Until we meet again, John Collins, your smile remains in our hearts. Prayers & thoughts are with the entire Collins family.
