Fall is here in full force today as we look back to a successful and busy summer full of festivals and amazing work on the Ernestina-Morrissey in the shipyard.  We look forward to hearing about the progress on the ship's rehabilitation at next week's Commission meeting and will be sending you a full report.
SEMA's fundraising continues as we work to raise the match to the Manton Foundation's challenge of a 1:1 match of all the funds we raise.  Thank you to all who supported our "Celebrating Ernestina-Morrissey" Gala in June and to the Island Foundation, The Carney Family Charitable Foundation, the Ebay Foundation, Nancy and John W. Braitmayer and the New Bedford Harbor Sea Chantey Chorus for their generous gifts this summer.
You can help us "Meet the Match" with your donation today.  CONTACT US!

Thank You, Gene Monteiro!

Gene Monteiro introducing recepients of awards.
After two terms as a member of the Schooner Ernestina Commission, Gene Montiero fulfilled his last duty as Master of Ceremonies of the "Celebrating Ernestina-Morrissey" Gala.  Gene's broad connections to the SouthCoast and all of its communities served the Commission well as support for the vessel was cultivated and planning began for her future.  SEMA looks forward to Genes' help and participation in our role as an advocate supporter of Ernestina-Morrissey.

THANK YOU, Gene!
