Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives Conference A Huge Success

Thank you to ACCE for allowing Des Moines to host the ACCE Conference. A HUGE thank you to the Greater Des Moines Partnership for all their work in getting ACCE to Des Moines. Over 1,000 chamber executives and staff attended the conference–one of the largest in ACCE history. ICCE was very well represented with over 50 in attendance. ICCE was able to host the after hour events, with our welcoming team, Mike Hofman, Blain Andera and Kirk Phillips who did a great job in representing ICCE. Thank you to all of our ICCE members who volunteered at the conference. Each of you helped make it a success.

CONGRATULATIONS – CHAMBER OF THE YEAR – DOWNTOWN DES MOINES CHAMBER – Great job Jennifer Chittenden, Executive Director. With all of your hard work, programs and initiatives you have gone beyond all expectations in the 10 years as a vibrant Chamber. You and your team have done a remarkable job. Congratulations!

CONGRATULATIONS - Lynn Olberding, Executive Director Marshalltown Area Chamber of Commerce, recognized as receiving your Certified Chamber Executive (CCE).

As we all were attending the ACCE Conference on Thursday evening we heard the sirens that occurred with tornadoes hitting the communities of Bondurant, Marshalltown and Pella. We have reached out to each of these communities and offered assistance. We know it will take a long time to recover.

-  Donations can be sent to the Rebuild Marshalltown fund (desmoinesfoundation.org/rebuildmarshalltown). Monies for this fund will stay local.

-  Share posts from Marshalltown Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook page as you see appropriate.

Keep the residents and business of Marshalltown in your thoughts. This will be a long process, but we are incredibly thankful that there were no serious injuries and no fatalities.
Welcome New Executive Director:
Wendy McCartt – Maquoketa Chamber
