Irish American Heritage Festival
The 27th annual Irish American Heritage Festival is July 13, 14 and 15, 2012. Irish Fest showcases the finest in local and international Irish and American music, dance and family activities.

The indoor and outdoor festival features 3 days of music on 6 stages, featuring the Young Dubliners, the Tossers (pictured), the Kreellers, the Killdares, Derek Warfeld and the Young Wolfe Tones, the Dublin City Ramblers and more.
Additional acts include the Mickey Finns, the Great Whiskey Project, the Sandcarvers, the City of Chicago Pipe Band, Paddy Homan and Friends, Fonn Mor, DJ Cal, Chicago Celtic Pipe Band, the Chancey Brothers, Kennedy's Kitchen, Kevin Flynn and the Avondale Ramblers, Rant Maggie Rant, the Dooley Brothers, In Spite of Ourselves, Dyed in the Wool, the Larkin and Moran Brothers, Piobagusfidil with Patrick and Karen Cannady, Joe McShane and the SilverBridge Band, Finbarr Fagan, the Matt Stedman Band, Fast Eddie McAteer and Billy O'Donoghue, Nineteen Pints, Mulligan Stew, Gerry Haughey and Fionnghlas.

Irish and American food is available throughout the weekend, and dozens of vendors and artisans will be selling Irish clothing, music and jewelry. Other offerings include music demonstrations and sing songs in our Folk Tent, one-act plays, and our air conditioned Tea Room, with harp and piano music in the background, while you enjoy tea, scones and sandwiches.
Activities include The Hooley Hook-Up, a matchmaking event, the Mashed Potato Eating Contest and the Sham-ROCK Stars Singing Contest for children.

Check out the Tasting Tent for demonstrations and tastings of Irish spirits, enter the Men in Kilts Contest to strut your stuff for prizes, visit with Irish wolfhound dogs and compete for bragging rights in the Irish Soda Bread Contest.
