The bad news is greens will be in short supply this week as the cold weather has slowed production at Asbury Village Farm. Robyn and Steve promise to be back on March 25th. 

The good news is that if you're looking for sweet and savory delights to celebrate the wearin' o the green, then you're in luck! You'll find all the ingredients for a hardy Colcannon, or that must have corned beef and cabbage. Don't miss the Irish Soda Bread and scones at Flour Shop Bakery. And be sure to stop by Valley Milkhouse for some farm fresh butter or creme fraiche to compliment those Irish treats. Hmm, and how about some herbal tea from Fieldstone too!

Maple Syrup Open House
Saturday & Sunday March 11th & 12th
10:00 am - 3:00 pm


Once a year our friends at Dutch Hill Preserves open up their Pocono sugarshack and property to give free tours to the public. Don your boots and take a wintry walk in the woods and to see the journey of maple sugaring from tree to table. Tap a tree, taste the delicious final product and sample some other goodies containing their maple syrup. It's so much fun the kids won't even know its educational! "Exploring the Use of Local Campus Food Surplus"
Marie Fechik-Kirk, Director of Sustainability, Lafayette College, will present information about how the college community is assessing and addressing surplus food on campus and its potential for diversion to local agencies serving the food insufficient.  The presentation will be followed by an informal roundtable discussion including opportunities to debate potential solutions to use surplus food to reduce local food insufficiency and lessen food waste.   
The Easton Hunger Coalition invites you to join them for "Morning Conversation on FOOD" at the Easton Public Market every third Wednesday at 9:00 am.
