FROM THE OFFICE OF STUDENT AFFAIRS
DRESS CODE:   Now that Christmas break, snow days, J Term and the Eagles fervor have subsided, we are attempting to get the student's back into their routine.  As a reminder, I have included the dress code requirements for both boys and girls, so that moving forward there is no confusion concerning our expectations:
Boys
  • Hair Expectations Boys hair must be neat and clean.  No distracting styles (mohawks, tails, braids, etc.) or colors.  Hair must be one natural-looking color.  Boys' hair must be no longer than their shirt collar in the back and no more than 3 inches high on the top. Buns, ponytails, pigtails, and other hair accessories for boys are prohibited.  Curly hair must be short and neat.  Students must be well-groomed. Facial hair should be neatly trimmed.
  • Pants must be worn at the waist and hemmed appropriately.  Sweaters must be properly fitted and in good condition.  All shirts must be tucked in so that the belt is visible.  Collars on shirts must be properly buttoned.  Ties must be pulled to the collar.  T-Shirts worn under uniform shirts/polos must be plain white (no logos or designs).
  • Earrings are prohibited.
Girls
  • Hair Expectations:  Hair must be one natural-looking color including extensions, highlights and braids.  Any other artificial addition is prohibited.  Hair must be neat and clean; no distracting styles or colors.
  • Kilts must be worn at the waist and never rolled.  Sweaters must be properly fitted and in good condition.  Blouses must be properly tucked into the kilts and only the top button may be unbuttoned.  Collars on the blouses must be properly buttoned.  T-shirts worn under uniform blouses/polos must be plain white (no logos or designs).   Plain black tights, not stockings, in good condition (no holes) must be worn at all times with the kilt. The girls will have the option of wearing Flynn & O'Hara gray pants or the plaid kilt. The uniform plaid kilt may not be hemmed more then two inches above the knee.  If a student persistently violates this requirement, they may be required to wear the grey pants for the duration of the year.
Attendance & Participation in Extracurricular Activities:  Please be reminded that students are expected to be on time for school.  Students arriving to school after 8:45 are required to present a note explaining the lateness. "If a student is absent from school or arrives after 8:45 am due to an unexcused lateness, he or she may not participate in any organized school activities that day or night.  If the unexcused absence occurs on a Friday, the student may be excluded from participation in school functions on the following Saturday as well.  Note: Students sent home sick by the nurse are not allowed to return to school that day for any performance, athletic event or extracurricular activity.

Catholic Relief Services sponsors the Rice Bowl collection each year during Lent.  CRS Rice Bowl invites students and families to journey alongside the Good Samaritan.  With prayers, fasting and almsgiving the Rice Bowl project supports migrants and refugees and others around the world who are seeking safety and opportunity.  We will be distributing rice bowls to students on Feb 20th after an assembly with a guest speaker from Catholic Relief Services.  25% of the Rice Bowl collection will stay within the Diocese of Camden for nutrition related efforts with 75% going to worldwide efforts of Catholic Relief Services.  We encourage you to participate in this program during Lent.

College Application Transcript Requests
Just a reminder that there is a fee charged for transcripts sent to colleges.  The first 3 are free, additional transcripts are $2 each.  Please monitor Naviance for fees.  Students can submit payment to the guidance office.
College Acceptances
Seniors should be bringing in all acceptance emails, letters, scholarships etc.  They should be brought to Mrs. Powell in the Guidance Office and we will make copies to keep in their file.
From the Nurse's Office
Parents are reminded that all Juniors need a physical.  Please schedule appointments if physicals haven't been returned yet and return completed forms to the nurse's office.

If a sports physical becomes a year old during a sport season, there is a 10-day grace period from the date of the last physical to obtain a new one.  If no physical is returned at the end of the 10-day grace period, the athlete must sit out of sports until a new physical is returned and cleared.  If possible, a courtesy reminder will be sent from the nurse's office, but as noted in the student handbook, it is the responsibility of the student/parent to ensure sports physicals are current.

Please contact Mrs. Veneziani in the nurse's office with any questions.
