Important details on Catholic Schools Week and 2016-17 School Year Registration

THE IRISH TIMES
Week of January 31-February 6
Dear Parents,

January 31 marks the beginning of Catholic Schools Week 2016.  The NCEA theme for this week is "Catholic Schools: Communities of Faith, Knowledge, and Service."  Camden Catholic High School will be celebrating Catholic Schools Week with special events each day.  We are proud of our Catholic school and our students.  We thank you for supporting CCHS and choosing to send your students to a Catholic school where they are educated in a faith based environment where they can find their moral compass and purpose in life.

Sincerely,
Heather Crisci

ACTION ALERT
T he issue of nonpublic school transportation is the top priority of our budget advocacy efforts at this time.  The per-pupil allotment for transportation has been frozen at $884.00 since 2008.  THIS MUST BE INCREASED in the next budget, or the future of many of our Catholic schools, who rely heavily on this transportation, will be in jeopardy.

We are told by those who work in the Governor's office that, at this stage, there is strength in numbers, and that the number of letters, emails, and phone calls made to the Governor's office does have a bearing on which issues get the greatest attention. Please review the below linked document and information sheet.  Let us all join with great enthusiasm in prayer and ACTION, so that 2016 may be the year in which the freeze on nonpublic transportation may be lifted.

THANK YOU!
