Welcome Back to School!
We are off and running in our new school year with great enthusiasm! The beginning of the school year has been a productive time with students and staff settling into a new routine. We have many goals set and are working daily towards reaching them. I'm excited to see the growth in our students this school year!
PTO Beginning Soon
Join us for our PTO meeting on October 12 in the LMC. We have many new ideas for this school year but it takes volunteers to make things happen!

Please try to attend our meeting or get in touch with a PTO member if you are willing to volunteer your time at one of our upcoming events! WE NEED YOU!
Field Trips/Events:
OCTOBER:
4*: 1st Grade to Necedah Wildlife Refuge. All day trip.
5*: Entire school to theatre production of The Stinky Cheese Man. Morning trip.
9-12: Entire school to celebrate Fire Prevention Week
10*: Entire school to Fire Station. Morning trip.
10: Referendum Vote
11*: Second and Third Grades to Hartje Center in the morning.
12: PTO meeting in the LMC at 3:45 p.m.
25*: Entire school to Leatherberry Acres. All day trip.
27: NO SCHOOL
NOVEMBER:
3: NO SCHOOL

*Please be sure that your child is dressed appropriately for the weather on these days. 
The Stinky Cheese Man
Our students and staff will have the opportunity in to see a theatre production of 'The Stinky Cheese Man" on October 5.

This play is based on books written by Jon Scieszka, who is a favorite author here at Ironton-LaValle. We are so excited!                          
Thank you TRAIL BREAK!
A huge thank you goes out to Trail Break Restaurant and Paul Bodendein family for their generous donation to our school. Trail Break held a meat raffle and corn boil to raise funds with the proceeds of over $1,100.00 coming to Ironton-LaValle Elementary School. We will be using the funds to directly impact students. Thank you Marcia and Bill Good from TRAIL BREAK and Paul Bodendein!                        

 
Spaghetti Supper and Silent Auction
The annual Spaghetti Supper and Silent Auction will be held on November 16, 2017. SAVE THE DATE and watch for upcoming announcements.

Reminders:
Permission Forms - Please check with your child's teacher to see that all permission forms have been turned in. 

PTO - Sign up for PTO by calling the elementary office at 985-7716. PTO meets four times a year. PTO brings great events and opportunities to students at Ironton-LaValle Elementary School.

Star Lunch - Watch for STAR LUNCH invitations coming home with your child soon.

Registration Fees - $15.00 (If needed, partial payments will be accepted until paid in full.)

Phone and Address Changes  - Remember to contact the office if you have a phone number or address change. It is important that we be able to contact you in case of an emergency. Please be sure that your voice mailbox is set up and that it is able to accept messages. 

Absences  - If your child is going to be absent from school, please contact the school office by 8:30 am at (608)727-3401.

Going Home Plans  - For the safety of your child/ren, we ask that you please keep your child's going home plans as routine as possible. We understand that plans can change, so if at all possible, please send a note to school with your child. Last minute, emergency change can be called into the office by 2:30 p.m.

Change of Clothes  - Please put a seasonal extra set of clothes in your child's bookbag in case they were to have a food spill, bloody nose or a bathroom accident.
Food Service: 
The month's breakfast and lunch menus may be accessed by clicking the button below. Payments may be made online or in person. For more information on payments, including applying for reduced fee or free meals, please visit our website.
