Is Religion Your Greatest 'Spiritual' Portfolio?
By Wenona Russ
You know, this country is a very religious country. Many of us grew up religious. Our parents, ancestors and forefathers instilled in many of us religious traditions and values, many or most of which many cherish.
Whether they be traditions of what to wear on our bodies, or what ceremonies or rituals to participate in on a weekly, monthly or yearly basis, we all have 'our religious baggage' we carry.
What do I mean by that?
I mean that lots of times, we are so weighed down with religious and/or spiritual heritages handed down to us from 'generation to generation,' and so full of spiritual and religious pride, that we cannot even begin to fathom that maybe-just maybe-momma had it wrong. Daddy had it wrong. Grandmamma and Grandpapa meant well-they taught us what they knew-but GOD WANTS TO TAKE US INTO ANOTHER DISPENSATION.
This is no more true than when you yourself hear the voice of God to COME OUT OF THE CHURCH. And religious pride, fear of the unknown and familiarity all keep you bound to something that God said to separate yourself from.
When the apprehension and fear kicks in, you rely on the 'I've-been-this-way-all-my-life-I-don't-know-any-other-way-to-be-No-one's-gonna-tell-me-nothing!' mindset to keep you in direct disobedience to the commandment OF GOD.
The sign of spiritual maturity and growth is NOT in how strongly or obstinately we hold on to traditions and rituals-in a vain attempt to 'stand for the faith.' Its nothing more than pride that keeps people from even beginning to think that maybe-just maybe-the enemy may have had his hand in deceiving them.
Like Pam says in the video above, many people may hear the voice to come out, but because they have invested SO MUCH time, money, energy, resources and the such into their 'religion,' into their belief systems, into their denominations, into their associations, that to simply walk away from all that would be even traumatic for them. If you have heard the call to come out-and you are too scared to come out, lamenting about what you have already done in church-afraid of losing that, then your 'spiritual investment portfolio' is pretty weak. The Word of God says we need to count the cost.
Are you willing to trash your 'old' investment portfolio for a better one?
Have you come to the realization yet that your stock broker/preacher has sold you bad stocks? And now its time to reassess your portfolio?
Any good investor knows that periodically, they must examine their portfolio, to see if any adjustments need to be made.
And sometimes, a good investor knows when to walk away from a bad investment, and invest in something else!
You ever heard of diversifying your portfolio, right?
It all boils down to WHO do you love more? Your religion? OR GOD????
Every now and then, it becomes necessary to examine your faith. Try the spirits...in yourself. Don't be afraid. It can only end up in a better investment...IN THE LONG RUN!
Ever wonder why it's SO hard to kick the religion addiction??? In "The Fake Jesus: Fallen Angels Among Us", Pamela Sheppard explains to the readers that most christians in the churches are worshipping 'another' jesus, the Fake Jesus, who has successfully transformed himself into 'angel of light,' and deceived many. Pamela explains how he has done this, how he infiltrated the organized church system, as well as his endtime agenda.
