New Dual Credit Recommendations Keep Local Agreements Intact

Ohio House Bill 59 required the Chancellor of the Board of Regents to make recommendations to the governor and General Assembly by December 31st to establish the new College Credit Plus dual credit program.

College Credit Plus: Chancellor John Carey's Recommendations for Ohio's Dual Credit Program[1] keeps local agreements between colleges and school districts intact. This is a major win for educators in Stark County who have built the state's second largest dual credit enrollment on the strength of such agreements.

Last year, 1,703 Stark County students enrolled under these agreements to take courses earning over 10,000 college credit hours.
