College Attainment Builds as NOCHE's Talent Dividend Targets One Million Degree Holders in Northeast Ohio

Northeast Ohio's 16 counties added 41,634 college degrees in 2010 contributing to an estimated $4 billion increase in total personal income.

Those figures[1] were announced in December by Northeast Ohio Council on Higher Education (NOCHE) who in 2009 launched the Northeast Ohio Talent Dividend[2] as a way of building a collaborative regional vision to increase college attainment.Northeast Ohio College Degree Holders

The 1.4% increase in degrees now brings the regional total to over 939,000, approaching the Talent Dividend's goal of 1,000,000 by 2014.

The Talent Dividend works from an Action Plandeveloped by regional stakeholders. Stark County is represented on the steering committee by the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce, Employment Source and the Stark Education Partnership.
