McKinley and Washington High Schools SurpassSending Urban High School Grads to CollegeNational Urban College-Going Average

Seventy-one percent of Canton's McKinley High School and 70% of Massillon's Washington High School students enroll in college within two years of graduating high school - that's a higher percentage than the national average of 66% for similar schools. Further, compared to the national average of 32%, 45% of all McKinley and 50% of Washington graduates are more likely to enroll in four year colleges.

Such comparisons are now possible due to a new report from the National Student Clearinghouse, High School Benchmarks: National College Progression Rates.[1] Stark's urban high schools now have an unparalleled opportunity to view their students' outcomes against a sample of over 200,000 students in similar high schools across the nation.
