Canton's Young Adults Widen Lead Over State and Nation in Some College or Associate Degree

Canton Leads Ohio and Nation in Some College or Associate Degree Age 18-24 Nearly three out of five young adults, age 18 to 24, in the City of Canton have now earned some college credit or an Associate Degree.

Figures released on Thursday, September 18th by the U.S. Census Bureau as part of its 2012 American Community Survey (ACS)[1] further show show the city has widened its lead over Ohio and the nation by a full ten percentage points in this category.

Canton maintains its lead even when factoring in those who have already earned a Bachelor's Degree. Since 2005, through Early College High School and dual credit coursework, the Canton City Schools has created opportunities for students to earn college credit or an Associate Degree while in high school.
