Stark State College Adult Diploma and Job Training Program

A $450,000 grant from the Ohio Department of Education has allowed Stark State College to launch the design phase for an innovative adult education pilot program that develops pathways for adults (age 22 and older) whose educational trajectory was interrupted. "Students in the pilot program will enter career-oriented programs and follow personalized 'success plans,' aiming for jobs in manufacturing, medical technology and other in-demand industries."[1] Those on the pathways can receive a state-issued high school diploma while completing an industry credential with Stark State College.

Betty Rider, PhD is the Project Director with a number of Stark, Summit, and Wayne county partners involved. Stark Education Partnership will serve as the outside evaluator.
