Stark Continues to Rank 2nd in State for Number of High School Students Enrolled
in College

A new report  released earlier this month by the Ohio Department of Higher Education shows that Stark remains in second place among the Ohio's 88 counties in the number of high school students enrolled for college credit at state colleges and universities. While the report includes students taking college credit plus/dual credit courses at their home high schools it does not count those who are enrolled at Stark's private institutions.

Enrollment by County of Residence at Time of Admission-Fall 2014  [1] shows Stark second to only Cuyahoga in the total number of high school students registered. That ranking has been held for the past five years. Further, high school students comprise a larger proportion of total college enrollment in Stark, than in any other major county.
